salvation is here...

we all have sinned...

Romans 3:23 says, "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard." Simply put, we have all broken one of God's commands at one time or another in our lives and because of that we are what the Bible calls "sinners." All that it takes is one sin (whether lying, murder, etc.) to become a sinner.

Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." This means that there is a price to be paid for our sin and it's death. What kind of death is He talking about? It’s not a physical death (our souls being separated from our body) because that happens to us all.  It is a spiritual death (our souls being separated from God in hell forever) after we die the physical death.

but God's got a plan...

Romans 5:8 says, "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." While we were still sinners (because we all are), Jesus - God's son - died on the cross and took our punishment for us. Now Jesus is offering us eternal life after we die.

and we have a decision to make...

Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” - embracing, body and soul, God's work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That's it. You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting Him to do it for you. That's salvation. God is offering you a gift and you must take it. We take it by saying that Jesus is Lord and asking Him to forgive us of all our sin.

as God keeps His promise...

Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” This relationship with Jesus is for you. You don't have to clean up your life first or be a certain type of person. You just need to ask him to forgive you and he will.

here's the bottomline...

You can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have the promise of Heaven when you die. To begin your personal relationship with God today all you have to do is:

  • Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ was resurrected.
  • Confess to God that you are a sinner and need His forgiveness.
  • Ask Jesus to come into your life.

You can ask Jesus to come into your life and prepare a place for you in Heaven right now by sincerely praying this prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus:

I know I am a sinner and need forgiveness from you. I believe that you died on the cross and rose again from the dead in order that I might receive eternal life. I turn from my sins and ask forgiveness from You. Right now I invite you into my heart to be my Savior and Lord. Thank you for hearing my prayer and giving me Your gift of eternal life.

In Jesus' name. Amen
